THE VICTORIAN TERRACE RENOVATION THAT CHANGED THE FAMILY DYNAMIC
Bristol
Full Interior Design
After a major renovation left Dom and Jen’s Victorian family home in Bristol white, minimal, and missing its soul, they were ready to bring warmth, colour, and personality back in. Working through each space — from the welcoming entrance to the vibrant kids’ rooms — every detail was designed to restore flow, comfort, and character. The result is a layered, lived-in home that balances function with feeling: practical yet playful, calm yet full of life, and unmistakably theirs (with a little help from Hermione the cat).

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
This home was designed to feel as good as it looks. After renovation fatigue and a sea of white walls, the goal was to bring back warmth, character, and calm — creating spaces that support a busy, neurodiverse family.
Colour and materials were chosen to soothe decision fatigue: soft, grounded tones with just enough personality to lift every room. Each space was planned for real life — flowing easily between work, play, and rest, adapting as the family grows. Every detail balances contrast: invigorating yet calming, structured yet playful. The result is a home that doesn’t just look beautiful — it helps the family live and feel better every day.
STANDOUT FEATURES
ADHD-friendly office: Designed to support focus and productivity, the office balances stimulating elements with calming colours and furniture, helping Dom stay on-task without feeling overwhelmed.
Feature kitchen space: Rather than leaving the new kitchen untouched, we made it the heart of the home. A rich mural, a soft armchair, and the family piano combine to create a playful, welcoming, and memorable space.
Neurospicy tween bedroom: Every detail supports daily life and wellbeing: a double bed with cocooning drapes, a hanging chair for sensory stimulation, and a cosy reading corner make this room both fun and functional.
