SOFT CURVES & SUBTLE COLOUR IN A COMPACT BATHROOM

Full Interior Design
What started as a conversation about finishing touches elsewhere in the house quickly turned into something bigger. After working together on her child’s bedroom, Vicky realised her tired, dated bathroom had become impossible to ignore. Cracked tiles, mismatched fixtures and an overload of grey made it feel bleak and disconnected from the rest of her newly refreshed home. The challenge: create a bathroom that felt softer, warmer, and more cohesive — without changing the layout or blowing the budget.

"This year I knew our bathroom needed a complete overhaul, and the results are beyond amazing! It’s not just beautiful, but it feels so cosy and warm, and we’re just in love with it.”

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The goal was to make the existing space work harder — visually and functionally. Instead of defaulting to a typical tiled box, the design used warmth, texture and curved details to soften the feel. By matching the wall panelling and tile colouration, the shower space blends seamlessly into the room, giving it a sense of calm continuity. Layered lighting, wrapped wall cladding, drenching the ceiling in the wall colour, and consistent warm tones replaced the harsh greys. Every finish was chosen for harmony — from brass fittings to the orange-striped window treatment that adds just the right amount of playful contrast.
STANDOUT FEATURES
Smart storage upgrades: A larger vanity, wall-mounted cabinetry and a set of brass shelves make the most of every inch.
Cohesive materials: Matching tile and wall colours create a unified, calming feel.
Curved details & brass accents: Soften the small space while keeping it elevated.
Character touches: Rich brown flooring and pops of orange tie in artwork and accessories, bringing life and warmth to what was once the most overlooked room in the house.
