Prepare for suprises when a project starts

In any project you will need to adapt, and adapt quickly.

You can have the loosest or strictest project programme... there will always be a surprise. Take @escape_to_the_chateau. Angel found this amazing collection of wallpapers whilst rootling around in the loft - did she recycle them? Did she hell! She created a beautiful pattern with the segments that were left to create an original design. This is now available as a wallpaper from @wallpaperdirect, if you fancy it.

In day to day projects you could find surprise pipes, that windows were delivered at the wrong size, unavailable fabrics, scary damp or even actual treasure - one of my friends found a conscription notice from the war! We are not solving cancer here, so you have to take a deep breath and deal with issues you find on the daily - and get used to making decisions quickly.
